This is a recurring theme on many bankruptcy blogs but people wait way too long before they file for bankruptcy protection. A person does not need to wait for his car to be reposed ... or her bank account to be garnish ... or have the county sheriff come to his house to levy on his TV ... or even spend down her retirement account. If that is happening, the debtor has probably waited too long. With a well planned bankruptcy filing, all these event could be stopped.
